RICHARD LIU QIANGDONG, THE FOUNDER AND CEO OF JD.COM

 

Born in Suqian, Jiangsu province in China, Richard Liu Qiangdong came about. His parents dealt with coal-shipping and instilled in him the values of hard work, the importance of a good education and also encouraged him to always prosper in all that he did. Immediately after completing his primary and secondary level, he enrolled in the Sociology class at a university known as the People’s University of China.

He then acquired his Bachelor’s Degree from the Sociology program at the university. He established Jingdong Mall and rented a small space in Beijing, which is well known as China’s technology hub. He began by selling magneto-optical products to his customers.

Richard Liu Qiangdong focused mainly on offering top notch customer service, simplicity in the transaction as well as the full application of technology for the primary purpose of efficiently running business ventures.
