Barbara Stokes and her husband, COO Scott Stokes, donated over $50,000 worth of supplies to Habitat for Humanity of Madison County. These include valuable and highly necessary building supplies like drywall and Hardie fascia. With this donation, Habitat for Humanity will be able to make lots of progress on homes in the Huntsville region.
Though the donation started with Barbara and Scott, GSH’s logistics team ensured that delivery went smoothly. Since GSH has a facility in Huntsville, the delivery was quick and efficient. The whole GSH family is proud to support the efforts of Habitat for Humanity. Donations of this scale significantly reduce costs for the organization, and for the clients who end up in the homes.
This isn’t the first donation GSH has made to Habitat under Barbara Stokes’ leadership. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of a long-lasting relationship between the two parties. In 31 years, Habitat for Humanity has built over 200 homes in Madison County. They aim to build many more. Barbara Stokes sees this organization as having a mission much like hers. GSH may build temporary homes, but they are always excited to help put deserving people in a new place. Read more about Barbara Stokes at WDRB.com.
